The blog posts you see below are the ones I have decided to move from the GoDaddy site and the blog back to Blogspot.  I have my reasons, but you will notice I have retained the original publish dates of each post.  They were my reactions to each episode of Season 2 of Mayfair Witches written at the time, so I want to keep that context intact.

Just the other day, I was on Facebook, looking at what, exactly, I don't recall as nothing much happens over there.  But--up popped a new video from the official Mayfair Witches page (for the series, you understand).  At first, I couldn't figure out those were crystals, but the other items, the sage, salt, candles and Tarot cards, were pretty much a dead giveaway.

Season 3?

So far, there has been no word on whether or not there will be a Season 3 of Mayfair Witches on AMC.  Seasons 1 and 2 can be streamed on amc+, and Season 1 can also be streamed on Netflix.

The Season Two finale of Mayfair Witches seemed to have been resolving some things, but not others.  In case there is a Season Three, which has not been announced.  If there is a Season Three, what would have to be resolved from Season Two?

A Bit of Review During the Break

Mayfair Witches in 2 Weeks, AMC

While Super Bowl Sunday was in progress in New Orleans, AMC did not air a new episode of Mayfair Witches. Instead, we were able to watch the episodes already aired, in order. We were also able to see featurettes that discussed some of the more interesting things about Season 2. Of course, I was quite fascinated by the featurette that discussed how the scenes that appeared to be playing out inside the dollhouse!

Since it will be two weeks until Episode 6, and it took time for me to discuss Episode 4 due to being RUDELY interrupted by a Windows catastrophe, I thought I'd get right to it.  Well, those things and no matter what anyone thinks of the show, I'm still going to talk about the model (let's call it that) of the Mayfair house in Julien's afterlife.  If you've seen my images and/or video of my 3D model of the Mayfair house of the novels, which is always very much a work-in-progress, you probably won't be surprised.

Whew!  Now that Alicia and Gifford have both died immediately after encountering Lasher in the flesh, and the Mayfair victims have increased in number, Rowan has realized the number will increase unless she stops Lasher.  While the first two episodes did indeed feel closer to the novels, the third episode takes us more into the onscreen version.  With a surprise or two.

I watched the entire episode thinking the actress playing Gifford was one I recognized from...somewhere...but didn't realize it was Thora Birch until I went to look for some meaningful images from the episode.  Wow.  She made a good Gifford Mayfair!

After a two-year wait, Season 2 of Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches premiered last night on AMC.  I only began to discuss my thoughts on episodes during Season 2 of Interview With the Vampire, but I thought I'd do the same here.  Especially since this site specifically discusses the Mayfair Witches.
