| Cleopatra looks out at Alexandria Harbor |
This particular render on NightCafe is from one of my 3D models. I built a model of a room in Cleopatra's palace based on an image called "Return to Alexandria". I believe the image is from AncientVine.
Here, I had a 3D model of Cleopatra standing in the palace room. Across from the balcony, I had a model of the Pharos Lighthouse of Alexandria, which was built by Ptolemy I. Cleopatra VII was the last of the Ptolemaic Pharaohs.
I exported the image from my 3D model that I built and uploaded it to NightCafe to render it. Renders of scenes from my 3D models is how I found NightCafe. I wanted something that could render the models to be more photorealistic, or they could render like this image. I've since made changes to the model so the water doesn't look like it comes right up to the balcony of the palace. The palace was on Antirhodos, a small island in Alexandria Harbor. The palace--or what's left of it--now rests at the bottom of the harbor.
