Phantom of the Midnight Garden

The Parlor Phantom at Midnight

This NightCafe image was made from an older PNG I made years ago that has my likeness in it already.

New label.  When I share a creation that contains my likeness--whether NightCafe features added it or I added it later and in whatever way I added--there will be a label on the post.  Esmeralde's Likeness.  That means it's my own likeness used in the image.

About my labels: I do this on YouTube already with meta tags, but the labels on a post also include details regarding how I created a graphic.  It will have an AI label on it if any kind of AI went into a creation.

You won't find AI generated text, though.  And I've never made a video entirely from AI.  I'm still aggravated when AI generated videos on YouTube are obviously not checked by any humans before being spat out onto that particular platform.  They have gotten better, though.  Most of the time I spend on YouTube I spend listening to these tales.  I have trouble sleeping and it's bizarre to imagine but yes, YouTube has been extremely helpful as long as I don't listen to anything that mentions a nightmare called Watts Island (don't ask).

Just from the videos I have heard and watched that are AI generated, if I start listing all the howling boo-boos I've heard, we might be here a while...

Let's Talk About AI

By "AI", I am referring to the creation of content using AI generated images, video, etc.  Not the AI used to scan metadata or moderate content on social media or media sharing sites.  Some things should still have human oversight whether a platform uses AI to analyze or moderate content or not.

Midnight Is For Ghost Stories

Right?

An Afterimage
I forgot to ask the B**** and Moan Society's YouTube Crama Division if I could use my own likeness in my creation.  Oops.

A Queen of Egypt at Sunset

Cleopatra's Alexandria
Cleopatra looks out at Alexandria Harbor

This particular render on NightCafe is from one of my 3D models.  I built a model of a room in Cleopatra's palace based on an image called "Return to Alexandria".  I believe the image is from AncientVine.

Here, I had a 3D model of Cleopatra standing in the palace room.  Across from the balcony, I had a model of the Pharos Lighthouse of Alexandria, which was built by Ptolemy I.  Cleopatra VII was the last of the Ptolemaic Pharaohs.

I exported the image from my 3D model that I built and uploaded it to NightCafe to render it.  Renders of scenes from my 3D models is how I found NightCafe.  I wanted something that could render the models to be more photorealistic, or they could render like this image.  I've since made changes to the model so the water doesn't look like it comes right up to the balcony of the palace.  The palace was on Antirhodos, a small island in Alexandria Harbor.  The palace--or what's left of it--now rests at the bottom of the harbor.

Practical Magic

Practical Magic

Warner Bros. 1998
One thing from the 1990s that I remember is that there was this huge interest in New Age spirituality, Wicca, and magic.  A lot of books on the subject were published.  Books that provided instructions, talked about countless beliefs, concepts, and practices, books that included or were all about the history of these spiritual practices and beliefs, and even fiction novels.

Is this why I read the Mayfair Witches series or why it fascinated me?
