The above video is a still image from Season 2 of Mayfair Witches. In it, we can see Rowan on the ladder used to reach upper shelves. She is reading, researching these mysterious ancestors of hers, the Mayfair Witches.
I used this image to test Canva's zoom in and out abilities.
There are some fun lighting tricks in 3D modeling. The scene the TV is part of is, in fact, a 3D model. Part built by me, part modified by me. The house is actually a model of a "catalog house", not Sears, but similar. A little square bungalow in a style that was extremely popular in the early 20th century. The name of the catalog model?
The Mayfair.
The interior you see is for a completely different story, however. You can't see the pictures on the wall and mantlepiece well due to the darkness, but those are part of the other story. In fact, this TV I put up on the wall is the ONLY thing n that entire house model that is from our modern era. In reality, the rest of the house is about the same age as the Victrola sitting to the right of the fireplace that is just out of range of the camera position.
To make the lights and the TV screen glow, it's in the shadow settings.
I decided to put together some of the images of the promotional material for AMC's Mayfair Witches, both seasons. The first two, from Season 1, I chose because one, I like 'em and two, Rowan's dresses are kinda similar to dresses one of the characters in the different story owned. And I loved the idea of being in this room that is from an era of its own and then seeing this modern TV appear and somewhere in these images, a greeting: Welcome Home, Witches.
